On April 19th members of the Gathering of Eagles joined with the Patirot Guard Riders and the USO to take part in the deployment ceremony for the 479th Chemical Battalion which is heading out to Iraq. It was a moving ceremony for all participants!
It was a beautiful day for a Tea Party! And folks came out in Levittown to hear the great speakers!
After the speeches folks lined Hempstead Turnpike with flags and signs and received loud and enthusiatic honks of support!

Take a good look at this picture of the IVAW rapist and fraud known as Matthis Chiroux.
It seems that Matthis has quite a bit less to his character than he shows to the dupes in the ‘peace’ community. Matthis is all over the news and the left wing blogs today because he was issued a General Discharge from the Inactive Ready Reserve. A General Discharge is considerably less than an Honorable Discharge which the vast majority of our soldiers earn. But there’s much more to the story!
His ex-friend and fellow IVAW member Kris Goldsmith lets it all hang out:
This publicity stunt really pisses me off. First of all, a discharge from the IRR has nothing to do with the GI Bill. I’m disgusted by the fact that Matthis is getting this benefit, knowing how truly DISHONORABLE his conduct was, during and after his enlistment.
So f**k it, I’m putting the information out there so everyone else can decide how much of a HERO this LIAR is.
How many people know that Matthis is a RAPIST? Yup, I said rapist. He admitted to myself, and a few other IVAW members to raping a girl while on assignment in the Philippines, and blamed it- not on himself being a complete douche bag… But he said the military life had made it acceptable. I say fuck that, because my entire time in the military it was NOT ACCEPTABLE TO RAPE A WOMAN.
Matthis has spent money on drugs like COCAINE while living off the donations of peace activists and supporters. Is that what any of you donated for? Matthis has been accused of squandering donations in the past, and has shed the accusations because no witnesses came forward. I apologize for not coming forward before this, but I was there.
The truth is that Matthis has risked nothing, and he’s been shitting on the real Winter Soldiers, the ones who served our country when we were asked…
Matthis is an opportunist, a fake, a liar, a drug user, A RAPIST and far from deserving anything that labels his conduct as “honorable”.
By the way, most of Matthis’ “war stories” from his military career involved things like doing drugs and going to clubs in foreign countries while on active duty, while the rest of the Army was suffering through two wars- wars he didn’t oppose until he got activation orders. HE NEVER RESISTED ORDERS TO DEPLOY TO IRAQ.
He never showed up to duty, and therefore never took a risk. People who believe he’s done anything brave, simply don’t know the difference. He’s done nothing but gain from his time “struggling” while living off the kindness of peace activists, having the opportunity to travel the country, and at the same time pay for his too-big-for-a-college-student apartment in Brooklyn.
I’ve told Matthis that if he continues his statements about being on the “Moral High Ground” without letting the real truth come out that I’d come forward with this information. Well, Right-Wing-Bloggers, blog away! My name is Kristofer Goldsmith, and you can find me on facebook. If you want an interview, I’ll be answering any questions you have about the truth about Matthis Chiroux.
Needless to say this is causing an uproar within the ranks of the IVAW. Calls for an internal investigation (read cover up) are already making the rounds. Camilo Meija, Executive Director of IVAW is probably going to run a few progroms to weed out those few members who still value Honor over expediency.
A big Thank You to Kris Goldsmith for standing on principle. We may not agree with him on many things, but on Matthis Chiroux, weasel, we appear to have found a common ground. Another big Thank You to John Lilyea who has relentlessly pursued the IVAW and exposed their frauds.

For the 4th year, Rockville Centre, Long Island, will host the Walk of Honor, a fundraiser and pub crawl through four of the best taverns in town.
The walk is in honor of 1st Lt. Ronald Winchester, USMC, who was KIA in Al Anbar province, Iraq, on September 3, 2004, at the beginning of his second deployment.
Proceeds from this event are donated to the 1st Marine Division Scholarship Fund for children who have lost one parent in Iraq or Afghanistan and the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.

FBI: We squander our limited resources spying on patriotic American citizens.
Some very disquieting news is emerging about the work the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been doing in the past two months. If the reports are true, and the Directorate of Intelligence has been covertly spying on the organizers of the domestic “Tea Party” movement. Then Robert S. Mueller, III, should have the title ex-Director pretty damn quick.
In November, speaking before the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Mr. Mueller said:
“The issue we come back to again and again is this: How do we protect the country from terrorism while at the same time protecting our communities from crime?”
“The reality for the FBI and for each of your departments is that we must accomplish all these missions. And the only way to do that is through intelligence—determining what we know, what we don’t know, and finding ways to fill the gaps. Intelligence lets us target our finite resources where they will make the most difference to the safety of our communities.”
“And so today I want to talk about the FBI’s intelligence capability, and how we are using the intelligence tools we built to combat terrorists and spies to also fight crime in your communities.”
Today we get word that Director Mueller feels that those finite resources were best used to launch a covert operation, away from the purview of local law enforcement, to monitor and record the citizen organizers and participants of the Tea Party movement across the United States.
In other words, citizens taking part in myriad legal local protests against runaway government spending were worthy of the full time and attention of America’s internal security apparatus. Who made that decision and when did they make it?
If these reports are true, and I am sure the truth will shortly come out, then every single person involved in making these decisions, or approving them, or carrying them out, should resign or be fired.

The 40 who braved the cold in March for the Rochester NY Tea Party were joined today by over 1,000 more Americans fed up with politics as usual.
It’s sunny and in the 50’s with a brisk wind here in Rochester, NY. Three stops were planned for the Tea Party, a downtown park, the County Office Building and City Hall. About 600 at the park heard speakers and sang songs. They marched down a closed Main Street to the County Building for another rally and grew to around 1,000. By the time the marchers moved to City Hall, the crowd had swelled even further.

The turnout for the New York City Tea Party was staggering! No pictures that I’ve seen do it justice. Estimates range from 12 to 20 thousand people! Whatever the final tally, it was HUGE! And they were all fired up! Chants of “USA”, “We are America”, “Schumer’s Gotta Go!”, “Obama’s Gotta Go!”, “Reid’s Gotta Go!”, “Pelosi’s Gotta Go!” echoed in the canyons of Broadway! Signs of every type and description were everywhere! I took only a few pictures which I haven’t uploaded yet, but there were scores of other bloggers there who recorded events!

The Marines have landed! Our Marine Joe came to the town of Elmira a few weeks ago and saw… moonbats! Being a veteran of our Nanuet Troop Rally and the great West Chester Troop Rally in Pennsylvania, he knew the antidote to such a brazen public display of surrender monkey ideology!
Gatheirng what he needed he set out to stand for our troops in defiance of the left wing loonies who had owned that corner in New York State for a long time. Saturday marked the third week he has been there, and, as the pictures show, he has been joined by other Patriots who only needed to be shown the way!
Kudos to Joe and the Elmira Patriots!

Deployment Ceremony for the 479th Chemical Battalion
Where: Fort Tilden – Maplink
When: Sunday, April 19, 2009, 11:45 am
Meet with Patriot Guard Riders at Entrance Parking Lot at Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, at 11:45 am.
Movement to Fort Tilden will be made at 12:15 pm.
We will follow the PGR into the Fort.
Ceremony at Fort Tilden is at 1 pm.
Food and Beverages will be available after the ceremony.
The men and women of the 479th perform some of the most dangerous jobs in Iraq today, removal and disposal of IEDs and the shaped charge mines being smuggled into Iraq from Iran. They deserve our full support and respect as they deploy again to the Sandbox!
