AAR Smithhaven Mall 9-27-08

The moonbats came out to Smithhaven Mall today in what was to be their grand finale of their summer mall tour.  Their numbers, however, took a hit from the weather forecast for rain (a forecast of soap would probably have ended it altogether!).  They still managed to be despicable by disrespecting the U.S. flag.

Moonbats disrespecting the flag

Our Eagles contingent was small but spirited and the more disrespectful of the moonbats quickly moved away from the sound of our chants and catcalls.  Once again the great majority of support was for our side.  A Marine recruiter in full uniform and another Iraq veteran stopped by to thank us for being there.  The Suffolk Police and Mall Security were all over this one ensuring there was no trouble.  We had a good day and recruited another member from the neighborhood who came out and stayed with us the whole time.

I only took a few photos which are here.

Did Barack Obama Approve this message?

After waging a war against America in preventing Sarah Palin from speaking at the UN rally against Iranian President Ahmadinejad, some of Barack Obama’s terrorist loving supporters got to meet privately with the Iranian Hitler wannabe in New York on Wednesday night.

Jodie Evans, founding member of the neo-commie group Code Pink.  Donater to terrorists fighting American forces in Iraq.  Campaign cash bundler for Barack Obama.  Co-host for Obama’s first major fund raiser in Hollywood.

Medea Benjamin, Brian Becker, Leslie Cagan, Larry Holmes and Ramsey Clark, communists all, also attended the meeting.  The only major player who wasn’t present was George Soros himself.

Iran has been a supplier of advanced armor piercing mines and IEDs which have been killing our troops in Iraq.  They are the primary supporter of terrorist groups in the world.  They have continued a path of nuclear weapons development undeterred by years of negotiation with European nations.

South Floridians Indicted On Weapons Sale To Iran

U.S. Says Electronic Parts Shipped By South Floridians Were Used To Make Roadside Bombs Planted By Anti-U.S. Forces In Iraq
Improvised-Explosive Devices Have Killed 1,722 U.S. Troops In Iraq Since March 2003

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Electronic equipment sold to Iran which could make explosives and improvised explosive devices used in Iraq against U.S. soldiers were sold by South Floridians, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District, on Wednesday.

A federal grand jury in Miami, FL, has returned an indictment charging eight individuals and eight corporations in connection with their participation in conspiracies to export U.S.-manufactured commodities to prohibited entities and to Iran.

The U.S. government claims the goods were used to make roadside bombs planted by anti-U.S. forces in Iraq.

The indictment stems from an undercover investigation, headed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, that exposed a ring selling U.S.-made ”dual use” goods to Iran, in violation of a U.S. prohibition on such sales to that country, officials said.

The goods are called “dual-use” because they are considered technologies that have commercial application, but could also be used to further the military or nuclear potential of other nations and could be detrimental to the foreign policy or national security of the United States.

Catch these SOB’s and hang them high!

Beginning in fall 2009, qualified veterans may attend the University of Rochester’s College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering and the Eastman School of Music undergraduate studies program and the School of Nursing’s RN completion (RN to BS) program tuition free. Their tuition will be funded through a combination of their benefits under the revised GI Bill, federal and state aid for which they are eligible, and the new Rochester Pledge Scholarship. Veterans with less than the 36 months of service needed for the full scholarship will be eligible for Pledge scholarships pro-rated based on their length of service.

“The revised GI Bill recognizes that individuals who have sacrificed their time and other opportunities in service deserve access to the best higher education the nation can afford. The University of Rochester is one of the places where many can excel and train for continuing leadership,” said Jonathan Burdick, dean of admissions and financial aid.

While the number of currently enrolled veterans at the University is small, the Rochester Pledge Scholarship hopes to attract veterans who want to pursue undergraduate degrees in fields including music, health care, and engineering. The scholarship serves to ensure that no student who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree faces financial barriers while attending the College, Eastman School of Music, and the School of Nursing’s RN completion program.

Veterans seeking to enroll with Pledge support will complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine their federal and state need-based eligibility. In combination with veteran’s benefits and other federal and state funding, each student’s Rochester Pledge scholarship will cover the remainder of the tuition bill. Veterans requiring extra assistance may seek additional University sources of aid through the College Board’s CSS PROFILE analysis service. The University of Rochester meets the demonstrated financial need of every undergraduate.

Veterans seeking to enter as first-year or transfer students must meet normal admissions requirements. Academic and student services such as college advising and the counseling center are expanding their serves as a central resource for veterans. Other planned programs include a special orientation event, guaranteed apartment-style housing, and parking and priority enrollment for veterans.

A Duty Fulfilled

Today I was a witness to a duty fulfilled.  A Hero, a Marine, a Medal of Honor recipient was finally recognized for his service to our country 119 years after he passed on to his just rewards.  For all of those years he rested in an unmarked grave.  Unnoticed, all but forgotten, invisible to any casual visitor at the cemetery where he was interred.

Today that changed.  Through the efforts of the United States Marine Corps League and a host of other veteran and patriotic organizations, United States Marine Private Henry A. Thompson was finally recognized for his heroic actions in the closing days of the Civil War.  A headstone, donated by the Kennedy Roth Funeral Home and inscribed with the names of Private Thompson and his family who are interred with him, was finally unveiled upon his final resting place.  A twenty-one gun salute, presentation of the colors, placement of wreaths and hearty renditions of the National Anthem, God Bless America and the Marine Corps Hymn served notice that here lay a hero who would be remembered.

My pictures of the day are here.

Al Qaeda Targets New York

Until her arrest in Afghanistan this summer, Aafia Siddiqui was the FBI’s most wanted woman in the world. Now the U.S.-educated, Pakistani mother of three is being held in New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center facing attempted murder charges.

Aafia Siddiqui holds biology and neuroscience degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and Brandeis University.

Aafia Siddiqui is believed to be an al-Qaeda operative.  Among the documents in her possession were handwritten notes referring to a “mass-casualty attack” listing locations commonly known to be targets: Wall Street, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, and the Empire State Building. But one target, Plum Island, remains virtually unknown to the American public. If Siddiqui really is an al-Qaeda operative, the consideration that this government facility (officially known as the Plum Island Animal Disease Research Center) is a target is unnerving.

Located approximately eight miles off the coast of Connecticut, the 840-acre research facility is home to the most virulent zoonotic diseases in the world.

The only U.S. strains of foot-and-mouth disease (eradicated from American soil in 1929) are secured in freezers on Plum Island, as are strains of polio, hog cholera, and African Swine Fever. None of the animals on the island ever leave; those that come uninvited, like deer that sometimes swim there from the mainland, are shot.

One fact is not up for debate. Al-Qaeda’s desire for a mass-casualty attack on American soil isn’t going anywhere. That an al-Qaeda operative — a scientist with a biology degree from M.I.T. — was arrested overseas with a U.S. biological and agro-defense facility listed in her own handwriting as being on a “wish list” of attacks only underscores this fact.

This has got to be the most unbelievable week of obtuse insults dealt out to wounded veterans by people running for the highest offices in the land.

First, Joe Biden tells a wheelchair bound disabled veteran to “Stand Up” at a campaign rally. The veteran is Missouri State Senator Chuck Graham. Video here.

Then the Obama campaign releases an ad which slams U.S. Senator John McCain as an old geezer who “can’t “send an email”. This, even though media reports from eight years ago addressed the subject that Sen. McCain’s injuries, from years of torture and beatings at the hands of his North Vietnamese captors, prevent him from using a keyboard. Video here.

For two people who have never served in the armed forces in defense of their nation they have a nerve to disrespect those who have.

Keep these Bozos away from our wounded warriors!

Obama Slams McCain On War Injuries in New TV Ad

The Eagles of Dutchess County decided to get out on the street and remember 911 in a visible way for travelers on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie.  Pete Seeger and his cut and run crowd were absent so there was absolutley no disputing that all the honking, Orrahs, cheers and thumbs up were from patriotic Americans verbally and visibly expressing their support for our fallen heroes and our troops.

Great job by everyone!

New York Remembers 911

All of the civilized world suffered a blow on September 11, 2001. No city suffered as much a blow as New York. But New Yorkers are resilient, they overcome adversity and continue on, remembering the past but also looking toward the future. Here are some video and photographic essays of the remembrances of 911.

First, a video of the FDNY Emerald Society Bagpipers and their memorial to the 343 firemen who gave all in their attempt to save lives on that fateful day. Special thanks to Pamela for the video.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Pictures from September 11, 2008

This being New York, we are always subjected to the unhinged lefties who come here from all over the nation to demonstrate their ignorance. Every year they come to New York to tell us that 911 was a hoax perpetrated by the United States goverment and not a brutal assault on Us and Our Nation. Logic and facts do not deter them. They disrespect our fallen heroes and murdered civilians.

I warn you of this now because in these following links you will see photos and videos of these cretins.

Remembering 911

Seven years ago today our Nation was attacked violently by Islamic terrorists. This was the worst attack on American soil to ever take place. Almost three thousand of our citizens died a horrible death. They were not “little Eichmanns” as the radical left would have you believe. They were ordinary men and women, fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives. Their only offense to the Islamics was that they were Americans.

Evil resides in this world, but it is not personified in America. America stands for all that is good and noble; freedom, democracy, human rights, freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Those who would attack her, enemies both foreign and domestic, would extinguish those virtues from the face of the earth.

Never forget.
