Moonbats try to mount a huge protest against U.S. policy.  Epic Fail.

Despite their claims that they would turn out in massive numbers, they managed only a few dozen of the usual lefty suspects.

The GOE and Tea Party patriots were there to insure that the families of our graduates got the positive message that America supports their sons and daughters.

The Town of Highland Falls was perfectly clear in its sentiments as well!

Meanwhile at the commencement, the President was being his usual feckless self.

Cookie, A Vietnam Vet, and co-founder of the Gregory Harris Military Courtesy Room at Syracuse’s Hancock International Airport, has some nice things to say about the Gathering of Eagles.

Well Sir, some of you may recall that some time back I was involved with two other gentlemen, Loran Davies and Leroy Bowen in getting The Military Courtesy Room started at Hancock International Airport in Syracuse, NY. While raising funds for that worthwhile project, which BTW has been very successful and well appreciated by our fine Military women and men traveling to and from their assignments throughout the world, I had the occasion to contact DAN MALONEY from a Gathering of Eagles.

Upon learning of our endeavor, Mr. Maloney and his fine organization donated to our cause and greatly helped the Military Courtesy Room become a reality. THANK YOU Dan and all the members of A Gathering of Eagles!

I recently had the honor of corresponding with Mr. Maloney regarding another matter, and learned that he has recently been taped by The Tea Party movement (of which I am a proud member) to run for Congress in the 4th Congressional District on Long Island, NY.

Not knowing that much about Dan, I went to the GOE website and his Congressional campaign website to learn more about him, and to say the least, I was very impressed with this man’s credentials and his commitment to his country and community.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to this fine American patriot and ask you to take a few minutes to go to the links I have provided and read about him and what he and his campaign stand for.

Thanksgiving Report from Syracuse

The Albany Tea Party chose the Gathering of Eagles Laptops for Wounded Warriors project to receive a generous donation for its mission.

The Tea Party group, left with a surplus of funds from the successful April 17th Tax Day “America Rising” event in Albany, NY, decided to donate those funds to five separate charities.  The GOE Laptops project was chosen for its commitment to support of our wounded warriors  in their convalescence and reintegration into society.

Vietnam Veteran George Samek, who runs the program, is thrilled that a tea party group chose to exhibit its patriotism in this way.

All of us at the Gathering of Eagles thank all of those groups and individuals who helped make this possible!

West Point Graduation 2010

What: Support Our Military Cadets and Their Families
When: Saturday, May 22nd, 7am to 1pm
Where: Highland Falls, NY, Memorial Park
Maplink

The radical left protesters, who used to line the highway to West Point on graduation day with flag draped coffins to demoralize the families of our cadets, are planning a big comeback this year.

Unhappy that the president they helped elect is continuing military policies that were started under George W. Bush, they are trying to turn out large numbers to protest those policies under Barack Obama.  In December they turned out about 200 protesters including IVAW confessed rapist Mathis Chiroux.

The President will be present at West Point to address the graduates.
Please join us to stage a Support the Troops rally at Memorial Park and give the families of our young men and women a positive experience to remember as their sons and daughters embark upon their military careers.

The early start time is to avoid the traffic congestion of the families arriving to witness the graduation as well as provide us time to set up flags and signs to welcome them and express our support.

The After Action Report from the 2009 Graduation is here.

On May Day, that traditional holiday for the far left, the Poughkeepsie Troop Rally was joined by the Red Knights MC and one of our favorite Blue Star Moms, Chrissy, who memorialized the day in a video:

Pete Seeger, the darling of the left wingers on the opposite corner, decided to make an appearance and debate our side. Continue Reading »

We were proud to stand with our Patriot Guard Riders family in memory of Army Ranger Sgt. Jason A. Santora last night.

Sgt. Santora and Sgt. Ronald A. Kubik, of New Jersey, were both killed in action in Afghanistan.  Sgt. Santora was on his fourth deployment in support of the War on Terror.  ShadowSpear has more.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been involved in every phase of this memorial, from escorting the remains of Sgt. Santora from Dover, Delaware, to Long Island, to standing in his honor during memorial services, to escorting him to his final resting place at Calverton National Cemetery.

Among the many memorable moments during this mission were the personal thanks given to each PGR member by Sgt. Santora’s mother, Theresa Santora, and spontaneous expressions of grief by passersby:

Mrs. Santora thanked us for honoring her son.  We think her son honored us and we are merely returning the sentiment.

God Bless the brave men and women of our armed forces.
