Michelle Malkin has the story!

Either of two Republican candidates could boot Harry Reid out of the Senate and away from doing more damage to America!

Harry Reid Frown

Ok, so I’m a little late with this video, but it is certainly worth watching!

This happened two weeks ago at a Town Hall meeting in NY State.

The lefties have their knickers in a knot over this one.

Another video worth watching again:

Congressman Mike Rogers makes a compelling case against Nationalized Healthcare.

Nothing deters Tea Party Patriots from taking to the streets!  Rain couldn’t keep them away from Central Ave (Rte 5) and Wolf Rd, a major intersection near the Colonie center Mall.

Joan writes:

Although it rained we had over 100 participants. They were spread out along two streets and four street corners and there was a great response of horn honking! Interesting enough I saw about 4 cars that had two people in them with one person with their thumb up and the other with the thumb down.

That’ll make for some interesting dinner conversation when they get home!

WNYT has a report with video here.

CapitalNews9 report with video here.

CBS6Albany also has a report with video here.

Great Job, Patriots!

The Tea Party Patriots of Long Island voted to hold their Tea Party Recess Rally on one of the busiest intersections in Suffolk County to get their message to the maximum number of people!

The response from motorists was deafeningly loud!

Steve Flanagan welcomes a new recruit to the cause!

And spotted in the Mall Parking Lot!

More Pictures here!

Tea Party Patriots were out in force in New York City to tell Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney that they want the government ot keep its hand off Healthcare!

This was the scene from the door of her office building.

The address listing inside was curiously worded…

Are they telling us something we should know?

We were joined by City Council Candidate for District 5, Stephen F. Kaufman, an Air Force veteran, who is running for office on a platform of Fiscal Responsibility and Individual Freedom.

A new variation of the gadsden flag made an appearance!

And once again the smiling faces of Tea Party Patriots was in evidence!

More pictures are here, here and here.

The monument restoration is complete!

Today, the Gathering of Eagles took part in the annual memorial service at the Prison Ship Martyrs Monument in Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn.

The Society of Old Brooklynites has been holding this memorial service every year for over a hundred years.  Forgotten by all but a few, this service honors the first POWs this nation ever had.  Over 10,000 patriots lay entombed in a crypt beneath the memorial column.  Their sacrifice helped secure the creation and future of our great nation.

This year’s memorial had one great improvement over last year.  The restoration of the 148 foot tall monument has been completed, allowing the ceremony to take place at the base of the column where it has been held for many years.

For those who want to know more about the Martyrs, the most authoritative book on the subject is Forgotten Patriots by Edwin G. Burrows.

A very good short background article was published last year here.

This year’s keynote speaker was David Ansel Weiss, himself a WWII Navy veteran, columnist for the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, who talked about the history of the monument itself.

Part 1

Part 2

The New York State Coordinator for the Gathering of Eagles spoke about the spirit of the martyrs and how it is evident in the Tea Party protests of today.  He is followed by Mike Spinner, President of the Society of Old Brooklynites.

A special Thank You to Mike Spinner and the entire Society of Old Brooklynites for keeping the memory of our forgotten patriots alive!
