Iraqi police have captured three Iranian-backed Special Groups terrorists operatives behind the kidnapping and murder of five US soldiers at the Karbala Provincial Joint Coordination Center in January 2007. Meanwhile, US troops captured another Special Groups leader in the Al Kut region,

The Iraqi police captured the three “key criminals” behind the 2007 Karbala attack in Musayyib, just south of Baghdad, on June 5. The three Special Groups operatives are “suspected of trafficking and emplacing explosively formed projectiles.” Explosively formed projectiles are the signature weapon of Shia terrorists with links to Iran.

The US military immediately suspected Iran’s Qods Force, the elite external operations branch, of being behind the 2007 attack in Karbala. The raid was well planned and executed, as the attackers looked American, spoke English, used American equipment. One US soldier was killed and three wounded during the initial attack, and four soldiers were subsequently taken hostage. They were executed shortly afterward after Iraqi police and Coalition forces tracked their movement eastward towards Iran and went into pursuit. US satellite imagery specialists found a mockup of the Karbala Provincial Joint Coordination Center at an Iranian base in southern Iran.

The US military gained insight on the Karbala attack and Iran’s involvement in operations in Baghdad and the South after stepping up pressure on the Iranian networks in late 2006 and throughout 2007. The US military killed or captured multiple high-level Iranian-trained agents and a Qods Force leader of one of the three sub-commands commands inside Iraq.

For those who have actually read about what is happening on the ground in Iraq from reliable sources, such as our servicemen and long time embedded journalists like Michael Yon and Michael Totten, this is no surprise.  The situation continues to improve markedly in all areas of Iraq as the foreign terrorists are exposed and dealt with.

For a great wrap up please read Gateway Pundit’s article here.

Hopefully they will open your eyes to how badly the major media in this country have been spewing the propaganda, unchecked, of our enemies in the middle east.

There is still a danger of an upswing in violence in the coming months before the U.S. election.  The terrorists would love to have a ‘cut and run’ candidate elected.  To achieve that aim they may step up the violence in any way they can to give that type of candidate credence in the quisling media.  I sincerely hope that you will see through any such blatant attempts to manipulate public opinion.

In North Carolina, there is a group of people that have been making a difference. The name of their organization is MilitaryAppreciationDay.org.

Military Appreciation Day is an event organized by volunteers to provide a day of sea fishing for our Active Duty Military, Guard and Reservists. The event also includes activities for their families and a southern style cookout.

Riders from the Patriot Guard were joined by Eagles from Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York on Saturday, June 7th, on a flag line to honor Marine Christopher Contin who was killed in Iraq last week.

Thankfully, Moonbats did not show up at the funeral as threatened and the ceremony proceeded without difficulties.

Gathering of Eagles Connecticut State Coordinator Jim Bancroft files these photos of the hundreds of patriots who stood in the heat and humidity to honor our fallen hero.

Patriot Guard at Marine funeral

In May there were NO Patriot Guard missions in New York State for fallen heroes from Iraq.  May that continue to be the case indefinitely.

Washington – U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s surprise resolution this week to impeach President Bush has irritated some of his fellow Democrats and drawn ridicule from Republicans, but it got support from at least one other moonbat colleague.

“It is time for Congress to stand up and defend the Constitution against the blatant violations and illegalities of this administration,” said Rep. Robert Wexler, a Florida Democrat.

To read the rest go here.

Sadly, this isn’t Rep. Kucinich’s first descent into lunacy. From Glenn Reynolds’ excellent article on Tech Central Daily:

“The Berkeley City Council has endorsed Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s (D-Ohio) “Space Preservation Act,” which bans any sort of military presence in space (including satellite-based “mind control” devices).”

“It is tempting to respond to this silliness with derision: tempting, and worthwhile, since such absurdities should never go unchallenged. One might even be tempted to respond the way Buzz Aldrin recently responded to a moon-landing conspiracy theorist: with a punch in the nose. But however appealing such responses might be, they don’t address the core problem:

a public ignorant enough of science that absurd claims might actually find some traction. Instead of introducing legislation to ban space-based “mind control” beams, members of Congress should take the lead in encouraging people to actually learn about science. “Mind construction,” instead of “mind control.”

The only question is, does Congress think it’s better off when the American public is knowledgeable, or ignorant? I’m afraid I know the answer to that one, too.”

In fairness Congress is not solely to blame for the ignorance that is drilled into the American public every day. The media, particularly the NY Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, the old broadcast media triumvirate ABC, CBS, NBC, and their latest addition CNN, are certainly complicite in spreading ignorance and propaganda about science (global warming) as well as international affairs (Iraq) and domestic affairs (illegal immigration). Anyone who only gets their information from those sources is guaranteed to be so misled as to be useless in any rational discussion or decision making.
