With the threat of imminent death hanging over their heads on a constant basis, our troops find what pleasure they can in whatever ways are not outlawed by military rules and regulations.  This has been a tradition for ages.  From cigar smoking General Grant to Marines smoking Lucky Strikes on god-forsaken atolls in the pacific to Marines smoking in Al Anbar province in Iraq.  Now some pantywaists in the pentagon want to outlaw all of that.

SmokingSoldierWWII

Their knickers are all in a knot becaue smoking might be harmful to the soldiers health.

When these back bench generals get their lard asses out and face the suicide bombers, drug crazed jihadists in house to house fighting, Iranian made IEDs and the assorted other dangers the men on the front lines face every day, then, maybe, they can make stupid rules like this.  By then they might not want to.

SmokingSoldier1

For the rest of us, we’ll continue to support our troops in any way that matters most to them, including cigars and cigarettes so they can relax off hours like this.

Pentagon PC Pantywaists be damned!

Blackfive posted on this yesterday.

CJ’s take as a confirmed non-smoker is here.

Today was a great day on Long Island.

Patriots from the Conservative Society for Action, Gathering of Eagles, Active and the 912 Group rallied in front of the offices of Senator Charles Schumer to counter the staged pro-nationalized healthcare rally planned by MoveOn.org and ACORN.

The first moonbats arrived and almost immediately called the police because they hate free speech and any opposition to their agenda.  One of their old biddies called me a racist for opposing health care for illegal immigrants.  Unfortunately for them the first amendment is still enforced in this country and the police would not interfere with our counter protest.

Things went downhill for the Soros stooges from there.  As more and more patriots arrived we outnumbered the moonbats by at least ten to one.  The video cameras and interviews were all from our folks.  The stooges were pwned!

Michelle Malkin has a report on another counter protest here.

And yet another in Orlando!

Now even some of the Dems in Congress are starting to get the message!

As usual Congress exempts itself from onerous legislation it imposes on others!

Some really good videos from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Stop Socialized Medicine Rally are here.

Another Successful Counter!  This time in California!

St. Louis has a Hands off Healthcare rally also!

The Rochester Veteran posted a report on the July 3rd Tea Party at Ontario Beach Park.

And a friendly and patriotic crowd to boot!

Once again we joined our friend, Mayor Joe D’Onofrio, West Point Garrison Commander, Colonel Dan Bruno, and a host of other organizations to march in the West Point/Highland Falls Independence Day Parade.  The 101st Airborne, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Wounded Warriors, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Rolling Thunder, and many more groups took part.  Once again the people of Highland Falls and the surrounding communities made us all feel welcome and right at home.

Watching Mayor Joe ride his horse was more than worth the price of admission!  An extra treat was seeing Gary and his half track!  Highland Falls feels just like its nickname “Hometown, USA”.

Thank you all for having us!

Red Squirrel’s reports and photos are here. and here.

Today we joined a group of patriotic New Yorkers in New City, Rockland County to demand accountability from our elected representatives!  Several tables were set up and manned to facilitate the signing of petitions and people lined up in droves to sign them!

Clarkstown Town Council Candidate Diane Holland joined the party to participate and raise awareness of her candidacy to unseat a long term council member.  She is shown here reading one of 30 patriotic poems her mother has written about the situation in this country since the beginning of the year.

Hundreds turned out tonight for a tea party in Times Square!

P1020745

While not the thousands that turned out for the April 15th party, it was still a respectable showing for a midweek rally during a holiday week.

P1020727

Excellent speakers, excellent signs and an enthusiastic crowd led to the party extending an hour past the scheduled end time.

I finally got to meet Margaret Hoover, great granddaughter of the President with whom my great uncle worked to improve Pan American relations.  Relations that our current president is damaging.

New York’s Finest did an outstanding job with crowd control.  The tourists and passersby were extremely supportive, and everyone appeared to have a great time!

The Village Voice has a report here.

The Berman Post was also covering the story.  Good photos!

Right in the City and Rosita the Prole were there too!  Rosita has some video clips.

Rosita raises some excellent issues about the event hereThe gist is that no one laid out an effective plan of action for what to do to actually throw the bums outWhat was needed was a speech like thisThe energy of that speech led to this.  We need to start doing this to all of our representatives who have collaborated in selling us out.

Fox News did a bunch of interviews with folks in the crowd I’ll post any links I find.

Instalaunch! Ok, Glenn, now I can take back all of those puppy blending thoughts I’d been having! Thanks!

The Conservative News Intelligence Network is getting videos up now.  Check back as they add new ones.

The Vigilant Squirrel Brigade finally got their report up to go with their pictures.

Glenn Beck showed a clip also

bushplane

The F-102 Delta Dagger on static display at the gate of Ellington Field in Houston, Texas, had the name of Lt. G. W. Bush stenciled under the cockpit.  That was until late January when the name was painted over.  The name has not reappeared and the questions “Who painted over the name?” and “Why did they do it?” are begging to be answered.

Debbie Schlussel has the story.
